Harmful books and materials have no place in K-12 classrooms or libraries.

 

Arizona Revised Statute 13-3506(A) states:

"It is unlawful for any person, with knowledge of the character of the item involved, to recklessly furnish, present, provide, make available, give, lend, show, advertise or distribute to minors any item that is harmful to minors."

Paragraph C states:

"A violation of this section is a class 4 felony."

​

In November 2021, we learned that a book containing pornography and beastiality was assigned as required reading to a Summer AP English class at Horizon high school.
